Terms of Service

Terms of use for Eduprime Singapore private tutoring services

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Introduction

Welcome to Eduprime. These Terms of Service apply whenever you use eduprime.sg or learn with an Eduprime tutor in Singapore. By using our website or our tutoring services, you agree to them. Please read them through, and message us if anything is unclear.

Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. Definitions

Terms used in this document:

"Platform"

The eduprime.sg website and every digital service Eduprime provides.

"User"

Any individual who accesses or uses the Platform: learners of any age, anyone who registers a learner (the learner themselves, a parent or guardian, a relative, an employer or a school), and tutors.

"Services"

Private tuition, learning guidance and the related educational services Eduprime arranges through the Platform.

"Tutor"

An independent educator engaged by Eduprime to teach learners through the Platform.

"Lesson"

A period of time during which a tutor teaches a learner, face to face or online.

2. Using Eduprime

To use Eduprime services, you agree to:

Minimum Age

Be at least 18 years old. A learner under 18 is registered and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent.

Accurate Information

Give true, accurate and complete information when you register and while you use the Services.

Account Security

Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Legal Compliance

Follow all applicable laws of Singapore.

3. Private Tuition Services

How Eduprime lessons work:

Scheduling

Lesson times are agreed between the learner (or whoever registered them) and the tutor. Moving or cancelling a lesson is free with at least 24 hours of notice, as the Refund and Cancellation Policy explains.

Lesson Plan

The number, length and frequency of lessons are set out in your quotation and invoice.

Location

Lessons take place at the learner's home, at an agreed venue, or online by video call.

Tutor Quality and Replacement

Every tutor goes through Eduprime screening, and the learner can ask for a free tutor replacement at any time.

4. Payment, Refunds and Cancellation

How paying for lessons works:

Fees and Currency

Fees are quoted and charged in Singapore dollars (SGD).

Payment Methods

We accept the payment methods shown on your invoice or at checkout, including major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Advance Payment

Lessons are paid in advance against Eduprime's invoice.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refunds, cancellations, late notice and missed lessons are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy at eduprime.sg/en/refund-policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: a full refund of lesson fees before the first lesson, every unused paid lesson refunded when you stop, free changes with 24 hours of notice, and refunds issued within 7 business days to the card or wallet you paid with.

Late Notice

A lesson moved or cancelled with less than 24 hours of notice counts as taught when it cannot be rescheduled with the tutor. When the learner misses a lesson without notice, the tutor waits 15 minutes and the lesson then counts as taught.

Pricing

Prices can change over time. A new price applies only to lessons paid for after the change.

5. User Obligations

As a user, you agree to:

Respect Tutors

Treat tutors with respect and professionalism. Harassment of any kind is prohibited.

Learning Space

For lessons at home, provide a safe and suitable space to learn.

Communication

Communicate clearly about learning needs, schedules and feedback.

Attendance

Be on time for every scheduled lesson.

Pay Through Eduprime

All tuition fees are paid to Eduprime against its invoice, and Eduprime pays the tutor for each validated lesson. Direct payments to tutors outside the Platform are prohibited and may lead to account closure.

6. Tutor Obligations

Eduprime tutors agree to:

Professionalism

Teach to the highest professional standard and prepare materials well.

Punctuality

Arrive on time for every lesson. Repeated lateness may lead to sanctions.

Confidentiality

Keep learner information confidential and share it with no third party.

Progress Reports

Give periodic progress reports to the learner, and to the parent or guardian when the learner is a minor.

Background Check

Complete identity verification and background checks under Eduprime's procedures.

7. Prohibitions

Users may not:

Illegal Content

Upload, share or distribute illegal, offensive or rights-infringing content.

Fraud

Give false information, impersonate others or engage in fraudulent activity.

Spam

Send spam, unsolicited advertising or promotional content without permission.

Tutor Materials

Materials a tutor creates for lessons remain the tutor's property, with a limited licence to the learner for personal use.
