English tutor jobs in North-East Singapore: Eduprime is hiring tutors of English Language for learners from Primary to JC, in one-to-one lessons held in learners' homes or online. Results come in set windows: PSLE tentatively on 24 to 25 November 2026, O-Level from 13 January 2027 and A-Level from 19 February 2027.
North-East stations, libraries and colleges for English lessons

The role
Lessons from PSLE writing to General Paper
- Coach PSLE English Language (0001) writing: situational pieces such as an email or report, and continuous writing of at least 150 words from three pictures.
- Drill Paper 2 language use, covering grammar cloze, editing for spelling and grammar, synthesis and transformation, and comprehension at literal, inferential and evaluative levels.
- Rehearse the PSLE oral, reading aloud and then a stimulus-based conversation on one photograph, building clear pronunciation, grammatical accuracy and a range of vocabulary.
- Adapt materials for Foundation English (0031), with its picture-series composition of at least 120 words, form filling and comprehension at literal and inferential levels.
- Teach O-Level English Language 1184 across editing, situational writing from a visual text, continuous writing of 350 to 500 words and a summary of about 80 words.
- Prepare learners for the 1184 oral, where a planned response to a video clip leads into spoken interaction with the examiners on a related topic.
- Guide JC learners through H1 General Paper 8881: one essay of 500 to 800 words, then comprehension, summary and application answers across three passages.

Home tuition in Singapore is open to Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and holders of a valid pass that allows this work. We check your eligibility before your first lesson. Serving MOE teachers need MOE approval before taking paid tuition. Lessons run at the learner's home or online, and online lessons are taught from Singapore.

Which English levels and papers can I take on?
You choose them in your profile, anywhere from Primary to JC. Requests then reach you for the levels you listed, so one tutor may take PSLE 0001 and Foundation 0031 while another takes O-Level 1184 and H1 General Paper 8881. In Singapore, 1184 is the O-Level code examined in 2026; from 2027 the Secondary Education Certificate brings G3 English K300, which keeps the same four-paper shape. List the levels you can teach well when you finish your profile.
What sets the pay for English tutoring?
English tutoring is paid hourly in SGD, and the band is on this page. The level of the assignment and your experience decide your point within it, so General Paper or O-Level work can be paid differently from PSLE work. Standard 0001 asks for at least 150 words, offers three pictures and adds evaluative questions. Share grammar and oral drills across both, then build separate writing and comprehension sets. Where do lessons happen, and can I teach English online?
Teach either at the learner's home in North-East Singapore or online, one learner in each session.
