The role

What you will do

  • Plan and deliver 1-to-1 or small-group Chinese Enrichment lessons aligned to the MOE syllabus.
  • Diagnose each student’s gaps and build a focused, measurable learning plan.
  • Drill exam technique for Conversational Mandarin, speech & drama, HSK foundations.
  • Set and mark practice work, and give clear written feedback.
  • Share regular, honest progress updates with parents.

Who we are looking for

  • A relevant degree, or an Education qualification, in the subject area.
  • NIE-trained tutors and MOE ex-teachers are strongly preferred.
  • Solid familiarity with Conversational Mandarin, speech & drama, HSK foundations and the latest MOE syllabus.
  • At least 1 year of tutoring or classroom teaching experience.
  • Based in Singapore and eligible to work here.
  • Reliable, organised, and genuinely good with students.

Pay

Pay range

S$30 – S$70 per hour

Actual rate depends on level taught, your qualifications and experience (NIE-trained / MOE ex-teacher / graduate), and lesson format. Higher levels (JC / A-Level / IB) sit at the upper end of the range.

Do I need to be NIE-trained to tutor Chinese Enrichment?

No. NIE-trained tutors and MOE ex-teachers are preferred and earn at the higher end, but graduates with strong subject knowledge and tutoring experience are welcome to apply.
