This is a fully online tutoring role for tutors based in Singapore. You teach from your own home, with no travel between family homes, to students who follow the Singapore MOE syllabus and sit the PSLE, their secondary school exams or the A-Levels. Every lesson is a live one-to-one video call with a shared screen, booked into the after-school evenings and weekends families keep free. Eduprime looks after the family side: we listen to what each student needs, check the level and the school syllabus, and offer the assignment to a tutor whose subject, level and free hours fit. You look after the teaching. You start with students in Singapore. As more families outside Singapore come to Eduprime for tutors, we may offer their children to the tutors already teaching well with us, online and from here, in the subjects and levels those families ask for.

The role
What the work involves
- Teach live one-to-one lessons over video call with screen-share, at the Singapore time slot agreed with the family.
- Follow the Singapore MOE syllabus for the student's level, and teach from the topics and papers their school is covering this term.
- Set up the student's side in the first lesson: camera, headphones, and a clear view of their written working while they write.
- Prepare worksheets, past-paper questions and notes as files, and share them before each lesson so the hour goes to teaching.
- Mark practice work between lessons and return it with written comments the student can read again after the call ends.
- Send parents a short progress note after each block of lessons: what was covered, what still needs work, and what to practise next.
- Agree with the family what happens when the connection drops, and make up lost time in the way you agreed.
What we look for
- Strong command of each subject and level you list, shown through exam results, a diploma, a degree or classroom experience. Teaching experience places you higher in the pay band, and first-time tutors are welcome to apply.
- Working knowledge of the Singapore syllabus for your levels, or the readiness to learn it from school papers and past exams before your first lesson.
- Clear spoken and written English, because lessons, notes and parent updates run in English. Mother Tongue lessons are taught in the language of the subject.
- A quiet room, a computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone, headphones, and an internet connection that holds a full hour of video.
- A way to show handwritten working for maths, the sciences and any subject taught on paper: a stylus tablet, or a second camera aimed at your page.
- Weekday evenings or weekend slots that you can keep for a full school term.
- You must be based in Singapore and be a Singapore citizen, a permanent resident or the holder of a valid pass that allows this work. Serving MOE teachers need MOE approval before taking paid tuition.
Pay
Pay, and how your rate is set
S$30 to S$85 per hour
The band shown here is the hourly rate for online lessons, paid in SGD. Where you sit in it follows the level and subject you teach and your teaching experience: primary work sits toward the lower end, upper secondary and JC toward the upper end. Your rate for each assignment is agreed with you before you accept it, and you are paid for the lessons you teach on the schedule set out in your contract.

This role is 100% online and open to tutors based in Singapore who are Singapore citizens, permanent residents, or holders of a valid pass that allows this work. We check your eligibility before your first lesson.

Can I apply if I live outside Singapore?
This posting is open to tutors based in Singapore who are Singapore citizens, permanent residents or holders of a valid pass that allows this work, and we check your eligibility before your first lesson. Lessons follow Singapore school hours and the Singapore syllabus, taught from your home here.
Will I also teach students outside Singapore?
It is a real possibility as Eduprime grows. You start with students in Singapore. As we take on families in other countries, we may offer their children to tutors already teaching with us, and you would teach them online from your home in Singapore. Each offer depends on a family asking for your subject and level, so this side of the work grows with those requests.
When do online lessons usually happen?
Mostly after school on weekday evenings and across weekend mornings and afternoons, the hours Singapore families keep free around the school day. Students in other countries, when they come, are booked at hours that suit both of you.
What equipment do I need?
A computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone, headphones, a quiet room, and a connection that holds an hour of live video. For maths, the sciences and any subject with handwritten working, add a stylus tablet or a second camera pointed at your page.
How do I see a student's working through a screen?
You build that view on purpose. The student writes on a tablet you both share, a second camera sits over their page, or they say each line aloud as they write it. Agree on one method in the first lesson and keep to it.
Do young children study online?
Some do. With primary pupils we ask that a parent stays within earshot, especially in the first few lessons, and the hour is split into short working blocks with frequent turns. Secondary and JC students tend to settle into online lessons quickly.
Is this employment or a contract?
A contract with flexible hours. You tell us the slots you can keep, we offer assignments that fit them, and each one is yours to accept or decline.
How and when am I paid?
In SGD, at the hourly rate agreed for each assignment within the band on this page, for the lessons you teach, on the schedule set out in your contract.
