Online O-Level tutor jobs with Eduprime are exam work with a deadline. A Secondary 4 student in Singapore carries a full slate of subjects into a written examination season that begins in October, and the months before it are spent on school tests, preliminary examinations and the scripts that come back marked in red. Online, the student photographs those scripts and sends them to you, and the lesson starts from the marks they actually lost. You teach one to one over live video, working on a shared screen, running timed papers at full length and showing the student where each mark is won. From 2027 these students sit the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate, where subjects are taken at G1, G2 or G3, and the G3 papers sit broadly at O-Level standard. The preparation you give carries straight across.
Why O-Level tutors teach with Eduprime
- Every lesson has a clear target: a named paper on a fixed date, and a student who can see the gap between this week's script and the grade they want.
- You teach from home in your own time zone and choose the weekly hours you offer within Singapore's after-school evenings and weekends.
- You work with older students who run a video lesson independently, send in their own scripts and do timed papers between sessions.
- One student can keep you for more than one subject, and for both the Secondary 3 foundation year and the Secondary 4 examination year.
- Cambridge O Level candidates outside Singapore also ask Eduprime for preparation, and those students may be offered to you once your Singapore timetable is running.
The role
What you will do
- Teach one-to-one O-Level lessons over live video at agreed Singapore times.
- Read the student's marked school scripts before your own materials, and sort lost marks into questions left unfinished, command words misread and content never learnt.
- Plan revision around the order in which the student's papers fall in the examination timetable.
- Run full-length timed papers, mark the photographed answers against the mark scheme, and teach the method marks that survive a wrong final answer.
- Keep a short record of topics covered, scores on timed papers and the next priority.
- After each block of lessons, give the student a brief written update with the result of the latest timed paper.
What we look for
- Strong personal results in each subject you declare, at O-Level, IGCSE, A-Level, IB or an equivalent examination, or a degree whose content you can show in a lesson.
- At least a year of tutoring or teaching secondary students, in any country and any syllabus.
- Lessons and written feedback run in English, so clear spoken and written English is essential.
- Working knowledge of how Singapore O-Level papers are structured and marked, or the readiness to learn them before your first lesson.
- Reliable attendance at the times you commit to, through the busy weeks before the examination.

Teaching online from where you live
This role is 100% online and taught from where you live. Online lessons are taught from outside Singapore unless you are eligible to work in Singapore. You start with students in Singapore, and as intake grows Eduprime may also offer you students from other countries. Each offer depends on learners asking for your subject and level.
Your setup
Your teaching setup
What you need
- A computer with a working camera and a headset microphone, set up in a quiet room.
- A pen tablet, or a tablet with a stylus, so you can write out working and annotate a student's photographed script on screen.
- An internet connection steady enough for an hour of video and a shared script without dropping.
- Regular weekly hours that overlap Singapore's weekday evenings and weekend daytime, on Singapore time (UTC+8).

Questions
Questions from O-Level tutors
Do I need to live in Singapore?
You teach from wherever you live. Lessons given while you are staying in Singapore count as work in Singapore, so during a visit you may teach only if you are eligible to work there.
Which O-Level subjects can I teach?
Any subject in which you hold strong results. Common choices include E-Maths, A-Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Combined Science, English, Geography, History, Literature and Principles of Accounts. You declare each subject separately when you create your educator account.
What changes when the SEC replaces the O-Level?
From 2027, Secondary 4 students sit the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate and take each subject at G1, G2 or G3. The G3 papers sit broadly at O-Level standard, so your preparation carries across. Tell us which subject levels you are ready to teach.
Can I teach students outside Singapore?
Singapore comes first for O-Level students. Cambridge O Level is also sat in other countries, and as students abroad ask Eduprime for O-Level preparation, they may be offered to you, each time a student requests your subjects and level.
When do lessons usually take place?
Mostly on Singapore weekday evenings and at weekends. Demand builds through the June holidays and the preliminary examinations in August and September, then peaks in the weeks before the written papers in October and November.
Can one student take more than one subject with me?
Yes. O-Level students often need help in two related subjects, such as E-Maths with A-Maths, or Physics with Chemistry. If you declare both, the student can book you for both.
