Online IGCSE tutor jobs let you teach students in Singapore who follow the same specifications as IGCSE students in Nairobi, Cairo, Mumbai or Kuala Lumpur. That is the heart of this role. If you know a Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel specification well, you can teach a Singapore student from your own desk, and the knowledge you bring applies from the first lesson. Our students attend international schools or study privately, and most come to us at a turning point: a tier decision the school is about to file, a mock result that fell short, or a move from another school system halfway through the course. You teach them one-to-one over live video, in Singapore evenings and weekends, and we look after enquiries, matching and invoicing for every student.

The role
What you will do
- Teach live one-to-one lessons over video to the board and syllabus code each student is entered for.
- Advise early on Core or Extended and Foundation or Higher entry, setting out a realistic grade range the student can plan around.
- Set timed past papers, mark them against the published grade thresholds, and coach the command words the mark schemes reward.
- Diagnose and close the gaps a student carries after joining the course from another school system.
- Support coursework within the school's and the board's authorship rules, giving guidance while the work stays the student's own.
- Plan the revision arc back from the student's exam series and send the student regular progress notes through Eduprime.
What we look for
- Working command of at least one IGCSE subject under Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel, from degree study, international-school teaching, or your own strong IGCSE and A-Level results.
- Confidence reading a mark scheme the way an examiner does and explaining it clearly in spoken English.
- Patience with retake students and with students who arrive partway through a two-year course.
- Punctual with lessons set in Singapore time, and quick to reply to students between lessons.
- Teaching from outside Singapore, or eligibility to work in Singapore if you teach from here.
Pay
Hourly rate for this role
S$25 to S$70 per hour
Where you sit in the band depends on the level you teach and the experience you bring. The rate is agreed before you accept an assignment and paid on schedule.
Teaching online from where you live
This role is 100% online and taught from where you live. Online lessons are taught from outside Singapore unless you are eligible to work in Singapore. You start with students in Singapore, and as intake grows Eduprime may also offer you students from other countries. Each offer depends on learners asking for your subject and level.

Do I need to live in Singapore?
No. You teach from your own home, wherever that is. On a day you happen to be in Singapore, a lesson is allowed only if you are eligible to work there.
Which boards do the students sit?
Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel International GCSE. Each student is entered for a specific syllabus code, and you teach to that code.
Which subjects can I teach?
Any IGCSE subject you can teach to the specification with confidence. List every subject and board you know in your application, and we match you on those.
When do lessons take place?
Mostly on Singapore weekday evenings and weekend daytime, Singapore time (UTC+8). You set your available hours in your educator account.
How much can I help with coursework?
You can explain the task, the assessment criteria and the skills it calls for, and you can give the kind of general feedback the board allows. The finished work must be the student's own, under the school's authorship rules.
How is pay set?
