Eduprime is hiring Biology tutors to teach Singapore students entirely online. Your students sit the MOE papers: O-Level Biology 6093, and H2 Biology 9477 at A-Level. Biology marks turn on precise wording, labelled drawings and reading data from an unfamiliar experiment, and each of those can be taught well through a camera and a shared screen once the lesson is built for it. You teach from wherever you live, on a steady connection, in the hours when Singapore students are home from school. Families in Singapore ask us for Biology help, and we pass those requests to tutors whose levels and hours fit. Students in other countries may join your list later, whenever their families ask Eduprime for Biology at your level.

The role
What you will do
- Teach scheduled one-to-one Biology lessons over live video with a shared whiteboard, drawing processes such as transport across membranes or the cardiac cycle as you explain them.
- Read the student's marked school scripts at the start and name what is losing marks: vague terms, missing links between structure and function, or answers shorter than the marks available.
- Coach structured answers against the mark allocation, so a four-mark question gets four separate scoring points in the syllabus wording.
- Train labelled biological drawing through the camera: the student shows the page, and you check proportion, label lines and the scale line.
- Prepare the practical paper from photographs of specimens, results tables, graphs and planning questions, since the wet lab work happens in school.
- Set short practice between lessons, mark it against the real scheme, and send written comments the student can act on.
- Update parents on progress after each block of lessons and before major school exams.
What we are looking for
- A degree or ongoing degree in biology, biomedical science, life sciences, medicine, pharmacy or a closely related field.
- Working command of the syllabus you teach: O-Level 6093, H2 9477, or both, including the practical skills each paper assesses.
- Clear written and spoken English, precise enough to correct the difference between osmosis and diffusion in a single comment.
- Regular availability on Singapore weekday evenings or weekends, kept consistent from week to week.
- Previous tutoring or teaching is welcome, and a strong grasp of the content matters most.
Pay
Hourly rate for this role
S$25 to S$70 per hour
Where you sit in the band depends on the level you teach and the experience you bring. The rate is agreed before you accept an assignment and paid on schedule.
Teaching online from where you live
This role is 100% online and taught from where you live. Online lessons are taught from outside Singapore unless you are eligible to work in Singapore. You start with students in Singapore, and as intake grows Eduprime may also offer you students from other countries. Each offer depends on families asking for your subject and level.

- A laptop or desktop with camera, microphone and headphones that can hold a video call with a live whiteboard open.
- A stylus tablet, or a camera looking down at your paper, so you can draw diagrams live and annotate the student's working.
- A home connection that carries an hour of live video without dropping, plus a phone hotspot as backup.
- A quiet room with a plain background and steady lighting on your face and your page.
- Free time in Singapore's after-school evenings and weekends; Singapore keeps SGT (UTC+8).

How do I prepare students for the practical paper online?
The hands-on lab work happens in school. Online, you train the written skills the paper marks: drawing from photographs of specimens, building results tables, plotting graphs, planning an investigation and naming real limitations of a method.
Could I teach students from other countries too?

How is pay set?
You are paid per hour taught, in Singapore dollars, within the band shown at the top of this page. You work on a contract basis and choose the hours you open.
