- Contract, flexible hours
- 100% online, from where you live

Online Geography tutor jobs at Eduprime call for someone who can teach a subject students learn with their eyes as much as their memory. A student has to read a contour pattern and picture the slope, look at a climate graph and name the climate type, study a photograph and pick out the evidence that answers the question. Eduprime is looking for Geography tutors who can teach those skills over a video call, to secondary and junior college students sitting O-Level Geography (2279), the Geography elective beside Social Studies in Humanities (2260), and H1 (8834) or H2 (9173) Geography. Every lesson is online and you teach from where you live. We match you with students who ask for Geography at the levels and hours you offer, and as more learners look for online Geography, more of them may come your way through Eduprime.
Why teach Geography online with Eduprime
- You teach from home, wherever home is, and set the hours you can give against Singapore after-school time.
- Students come to you already preparing for a named paper, so each lesson has a clear target in 2279, 2260, 8834 or 9173.
- A shared screen suits the subject: you can annotate a topographic map, sketch a cross-section and mark up a data table while the student watches the reasoning happen.
- We look after everything around the lesson, from a student's first enquiry and scheduling through to invoicing, so your time goes into teaching.
- As demand for online Geography grows at your levels, further students may be offered to you.
The role
What the work involves
- Teach one-to-one Geography lessons over video, planned against the syllabus and paper the student is sitting.
- Work out where marks are being lost, whether in process knowledge, map and data skills, case-study evidence or the written explanation.
- Teach topographic map reading on screen: grid references, contours, gradient, cross-sections and describing the pattern a map shows.
- Coach data-response and essay answers so they obey the command word, use named evidence and reach a supported judgement.
- Guide the geographical investigation the student carries out at school, from the question and sampling method through to data presentation and an evaluation of its limits.
- Mark practice answers between lessons and return comments the student can act on in the next attempt.
- Send each student a short written progress note after each block of lessons.
What we look for
- A strong result in Geography at the level you want to teach, and for H1 or H2 students, degree-level study in geography, environmental or earth science, urban planning or a close field.
- Working knowledge of the Singapore syllabuses you would teach (2279, 2260, 8834 or 9173), or the readiness to learn them before your first lesson.
- Clear spoken and written English, and the patience to explain a map or a graph step by step to a teenager on a screen.
- Reliability with lesson times across time zones, since a missed or late start costs a student who is planning around school and exams.
- If you live in Singapore, you need citizenship, permanent residence or a valid pass that allows this work. Tutors elsewhere teach from their own homes.

Teaching online from where you live
This role is 100% online and taught from where you live. Online lessons are taught from outside Singapore unless you are eligible to work in Singapore. You start with students in Singapore, and as intake grows Eduprime may also offer you students from other countries. Each offer depends on learners asking for your subject and level.

Your teaching setup
What you need
- A computer with camera and headset that can share your screen during a video call without lagging, for maps and graphs.
- A writing surface the student can see: a tablet with a stylus, a pen display, or a digital whiteboard where you can draw cross-sections and annotate maps live.
- A stable internet connection that holds a video call with screen sharing for a full lesson, plus a quiet, well-lit place to teach.
- Regular free hours that overlap with Singapore weekday evenings and weekends (Singapore is UTC+8), when most secondary and JC students take lessons.

Questions
Questions from Geography tutors
Can I apply if I live outside Singapore?
Yes. This role is fully online and you teach from where you live. Lessons are given while you are outside Singapore, unless you are eligible to work in Singapore.
I live in Singapore. Can I teach this online role?
Yes, if you are a Singapore citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid pass that allows this work. We check eligibility before your first lesson.
How do I teach map work over a video call?
Share the map or a clear scan of it, and draw on it with a stylus or annotation tool while the student follows. Many students find it easier to see a grid reference or a contour pattern when it is marked up in front of them.
Which levels are most requested online?
Online Geography suits upper secondary and JC students most, since they can work independently on screen. Tell us every level you can teach so we can match you widely.
Can I help with the geographical investigation?
Yes. The student does the fieldwork at school, and you help plan the question and sampling, present the data clearly and write an evaluation that names the limits of the findings. The work itself stays the student's own.
How will I know my pay?
The hourly pay for this role is shown on this page, and the rate for each student is agreed before the first lesson.
