Online PSLE tutor jobs at Eduprime follow a year that runs to a clear rhythm. Oral and listening come first, the written papers arrive later in one tight stretch, and every subject is scored as an Achievement Level that adds up to the total guiding Secondary One posting. We are looking for tutors who can carry an eleven-year-old through that rhythm over a screen: keeping a lesson lively in short segments, reading the working a child holds up to the camera, and telling parents in plain words where the next marks will come from. You teach English, Mathematics, Science or a Mother Tongue language to the MOE primary syllabus, one child at a time, from wherever you live.
Why tutors take this role
- The PSLE year has a known shape, so a well-planned term shows results the pupil can see paper by paper.
- Every lesson is one-to-one, which lets you follow each line of working and catch a hesitation the moment it appears.
- You set the hours you offer across Singapore's weekday evenings and weekends, and you teach from home.
- Parents read your written reports, so the progress you build is seen and credited.
- Pupils abroad who follow the Singapore syllabus also come to Eduprime for PSLE preparation, which opens the chance of students beyond Singapore as they ask for your subject.
The role
What you will do
- Teach one-to-one PSLE lessons over video at times agreed with each pupil's parent or guardian.
- Sequence the P6 year: oral and listening practice early, the written papers next, timed rehearsal in the final weeks.
- Coach Maths heuristics and model drawing until the child can set up a problem unaided.
- Teach open-ended Science answers that name the concept and use the keywords markers look for.
- Build composition, situational writing and comprehension technique in English or Mother Tongue, and rehearse reading aloud and stimulus-based conversation for the oral.
- Mark photographed scripts the same day and return them with clear corrections.
- Send parents a short written report after each block of lessons.
What we look for
- Completed A-Levels, IB Diploma, a polytechnic diploma or an equivalent pre-university qualification, with a strong result in the subject you will teach.
- A year or more spent teaching children aged ten to twelve, in a classroom, a centre, a home or online, in any country.
- Familiarity with the MOE primary syllabus and how Achievement Levels are awarded; tutors newer to Singapore study both ahead of their first lesson.
- For Mother Tongue: fluency at teaching standard in Chinese, Malay or Tamil, because lessons and oral practice run in that language.
- Clear written English for the progress notes the registering parent or guardian reads.
- A warm, patient manner with children, and the discipline to keep lessons on time.

Where you sit in the band depends on the level you teach and the experience you bring. The rate is agreed before you accept an assignment and paid on schedule.
Teaching online from where you live
This role is 100% online and taught from where you live. Online lessons are taught from outside Singapore unless you are eligible to work in Singapore. You start with students in Singapore, and as intake grows Eduprime may also offer you students from other countries. Each offer depends on learners asking for your subject and level.
Your setup
Your teaching setup
What you need
- A computer whose camera and microphone let the child see your face and hear every word.
- A pen tablet or touchscreen for writing on a shared whiteboard, since PSLE Maths and Science are taught by showing the working.
- A stable broadband connection that holds a video call for a full lesson.
- Regular free hours on Singapore weekday evenings, when P5 and P6 children are home from school, or on weekend mornings (UTC+8).

Questions
Questions from PSLE tutors
Do I need to live in Singapore?
From home, in whichever country you live. A lesson you give while physically in Singapore is work done in Singapore, open to Singapore citizens, permanent residents and those whose pass allows this work.
Can a P5 or P6 child really learn well online?
Yes, with the right lesson design. Keep segments short and varied, ask the child to hold the workbook up to the camera often, and agree with the parent who registered the child that an adult stays within reach during lessons, especially with younger or easily distracted children.
Which subjects can I teach?
English, Mathematics, Science, and Chinese, Malay or Tamil as Mother Tongue, at Standard or Foundation level. Pick the ones you know well enough to mark to PSLE standard.
How are Foundation papers different?
Foundation subjects cover narrower content and are graded AL A to AL C. The work leans on technique and confidence with core questions, so the lesson plan and pacing change to suit the child.
How do students reach me?
Each match begins with a pupil registered for PSLE lessons, usually by a parent, and we pair that pupil with a tutor by subject, level and available hours. Pupils in Singapore come first, and as pupils elsewhere sign up for PSLE preparation, they may be offered to you too.
How is the pay set?
Pay is hourly in Singapore dollars, within the band printed on this page. You join as an independent contractor.
What happens after I submit the form?
We send you a link to set up your educator account. When your profile is filled in, you can be matched as soon as a pupil is registered for your PSLE subject.
